Juvenile Took San Antonio Back to the 99 and the 2000s

It's never a bad day to back that azz up for the 99 and the 2000s.

Juvenile pulled up to San Antonio and did what Juvenile does, ran through his catalog, let the room do the rest. Almost thirty years in and the man still doesn’t have to work for it. His music speaks for itself.

He gave the new stuff its own runway first because is this is the Boiling Point Tour, and brought Young Juve out mid-set, which was a moment in itself. Then he flipped it into the classics and the whole room turned all the way up.

There’s a specific energy that hits when a Cash Money record drops in a room full of people who grew up on it. With every song and every beat that drops it’s like hearing it for the first time. “Ha” still hits. “Slow Motion” still does what it does. And we don’t even need to talk about what happened when “Back That Azz Up” came on — it’s never a bad day to back that azz up for the 99 and the 2000s.
