About
Moody Studios is an independent digital magazine in Austin. We write about live music, food, Black culture, and the tech that follows people into the room — how a night, a record, a plate, or a product actually lands.
The name is the assignment. A sold-out Stubb’s and a Tuesday that can be counted are both the city. We will say when a set built somebody up and when it sent them home in pieces. Same for a book, a show, or a device. No score out of ten. If it was leftovers, the piece will say so.

How we write
A recap names the venue and whether the night held. A plate gets the neighborhood and the bill, not a star. Books and film get an honest close — no hiding behind a rating. Tech names the device and the rule that came with it. When the story is a mood, we say that too: the record in the car, the solo ticket, the week after a loud room.
Stories are written in Studio on this site. Nothing here still talks to WordPress.
